Our latest CD featuring music by Sergey Akhunov is out. It's the live recording of "Prayer for Peace." It also marks the final piece of music chosen for the performance on tour with OPERA2DAY and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam.

Gavin Bryars: "In 1971, when I was living in London, I was working with a friend, Alan Power, on a film about homeless people. One of them sang the religious hymn "Jesus' Blood Never Failed Me Yet." I took that recording to the studio. There, I made a continuous copy of the fragment and considered adding an orchestral accompaniment.

"The Long Road" should be considered the last five seconds of English cyclist Tommy Simpson's life. A truly hallucinatory piece that powerfully captures the imagination even without prior knowledge of the extramusical setting.
